Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern all professional activities, performances, collaborations and educational services provided under the name Juliana X, operating as a self-employed DJ, educator and creative professional based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
 

1. General Applicability

  1. These terms apply to all offers, agreements, collaborations, performances, productions, workshops, lessons and other services provided by Juliana X (Juliana Aparecida Bruinsma), unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  2. By entering into an agreement, the client confirms to have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.

  3. Deviations are valid only if confirmed in writing by Juliana X.

  4. Separate and specific conditions apply to DJ lessons and educational activities, which can be found under the “Rhythm Sessions” section at www.julianax.com/rhythmsessions.
     

2. DJ Performances and Bookings

  1. All DJ bookings for Juliana X are exclusively handled through Peoples Agency.

  2. The booking, contract terms, payment, and liability for DJ performances fall under the official Terms & Conditions of Peoples Agency.

  3. Juliana X is not responsible for any financial or contractual disputes regarding bookings managed by Peoples Agency.

  4. Any additional agreements directly with venues, brands or festivals must be confirmed in writing and approved by Peoples Agency.

3. Collaborations, Consultancy & Creative Projects

  1. For collaborations, consultancy, and project-based work (e.g. panel talks, brand partnerships, artistic direction), Juliana X operates as an independent professional.

  2. All proposals and quotations are non-binding unless explicitly stated otherwise.

  3. A written confirmation (by email or signed document) constitutes a valid agreement.

  4. Unless otherwise agreed, invoices are payable within 14 days of issue.

  5. Late payments may incur statutory interest and collection costs under Dutch law (BIK).

  6. All rates are exclusive of VAT and additional project-related costs (e.g. travel, production, materials) unless otherwise specified.
     

4. Cancellation Policy

  1. Cancellations or postponements by the client must be communicated in writing.

  2. For consultancy, collaborations or other freelance assignments:

    • Up to 30 days before start date: no fee due.

    • 14–30 days before: 50% of the agreed fee.

    • Within 14 days or after commencement: 100% of the agreed fee.

  3. In cases of force majeure (illness, family emergencies, or unforeseen events), both parties will seek a fair rescheduling or resolution.

5. Intellectual Property & Media Use

  1. All creative materials, concepts, visuals, texts, and recordings created by or on behalf of Juliana X remain the intellectual property of Juliana X unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  2. Materials shared in the context of education, collaboration or performance may not be reused, copied or distributed without prior written permission.

  3. By participating in events, lessons, or collaborations with Juliana X, participants agree that images or recordings made during these activities may be used for documentation, promotional or artistic purposes, unless a written objection is submitted beforehand.

6. Privacy & Confidentiality

  1. All personal data provided to Juliana X are treated in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

  2. Confidential or personal information shared during collaborations, lessons or coaching will not be disclosed to third parties without consent, unless legally required.

7. Liability

  1. Juliana X performs her work with the highest professional care. However, she cannot be held liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of income, or damages arising from third-party actions.

  2. Any direct liability is limited to the amount invoiced for the specific service, or to the maximum amount covered by her professional liability insurance.

  3. Participants and clients are expected to have personal liability coverage when engaging in physical or public activities.

8. Force Majeure

  1. In the event of unforeseen circumstances (e.g. illness, government restrictions, transport issues, pandemics, technical failure), Juliana X reserves the right to postpone, adapt, or cancel the activity without obligation to compensate damages.

  2. Any payments already received for cancelled services may be refunded or credited, depending on the situation and mutual agreement.

9. Educational Activities – Rhythm Sessions

All DJ lessons, workshops, and educational programs offered under the name Rhythm Sessions by Juliana X are governed by their own dedicated Terms & Conditions:

10. Applicable Law & Disputes

  1. All agreements with Juliana X are governed exclusively by Dutch law.

  2. Parties will first attempt to resolve any dispute through dialogue and mutual understanding.

  3. If no resolution can be reached, the competent court of Rotterdam, The Netherlands will have exclusive jurisdiction.

11. Final Provisions

  1. If any part of these Terms and Conditions is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain fully in effect.

  2. The most recent version of these Terms is always available at www.julianax.com/terms and may be updated without prior notice.
