Few artists have energized the Dutch house music scene like Juliana X. With a diverse background that spans continents and cultures, Juliana has become a key voice in electronic music. Born in Poços de Caldas, Brazil, and raised in the serene countryside of the Frisian village of Wijnjewoude, Juliana relocated to Rotterdam in 2020 to fully dive into her career. Since then, she’s made her mark with an unmistakable sound and infectious energy, solidifying her place as a DJ and cultural figure.

Her sound is marked by gritty basslines, ambient acid layers, and the rhythmic energy of hip-hop, all elevated by raw ghetto vocals and powerful diva acapellas. Juliana blends nostalgia with a fierce modern edge, captivating audiences and delivering high-energy performances that leave a lasting impression. Known for her electrifying sets that connect with diverse crowds, she brings both intensity and warmth to the dancefloor, creating experiences that are unforgettable and deeply personal.

This year marked a transformative moment as she joined the iconic Honey Dijon's 'House Nation' world tour, produced in collaboration with Audio Obscura. In October, she took the stage at the G-Star RAW Factory during the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), the weekend's most talked-about festival. Sharing the spotlight with top-notch established artists like Major League, DESIREE, Suze Ijó, Kikelomo, Carista and Benny Rodrigues, Juliana not only showcased her talent but also solidified her position as a rising star in the house music scene, winning the hearts of fans and critics alike.

Big news just dropped: Juliana is set to make her mark on the global stage. She’s been announced as part of the legendary Warehouse Project (WHP), which is returning to Rotterdam for the second time. This booking is a dream come true. Known for its industrial edge in Manchester, the Warehouse Project will take over Rotterdam’s iconic Onderzeebootloods on Sunday, May 4th, 2025. Juliana will open the mainstage for none other than Fatboy Slim, joining a stellar lineup of top-tier artists.

Ten years ago, a journey began, fueled by a passion to create spaces where the LGBTQI+ community and diverse crowds could connect and celebrate together. In 2019, she kicked off the Zuperstition project at Club Hemingway in Leeuwarden, a club night where house and techno talent took center stage and people from all walks of life danced freely. This passion evolved into Kult Funktion in Rotterdam, a platform amplifying underrepresented voices- LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and women breaking boundaries. Rooted in the original spirit of house culture, Kult Funktion pushes limits with a DJ academy, masterclasses, and club nights like the House Eleganza, a night that celebrates the rich history of house culture.

From underground clubs to festival mainstages, her sound has taken her to many top venues and festivals, including Into The Woods, Mystic Garden, Thuishaven, Lo-Fi, Shelter, Palet, Het Sieraad and Colorado Charlie. Her influence also extends to her performances in Rotterdam venues such as Maassilo, Toffler, Perron and her favorite Club NOW&WOW, where she has engaged local audiences with her unique sound. In Amsterdam, her residencies at Club Church, her undisputed favorite church and her frequent sets at Paradiso showcase her deep-rooted connection to the vibrant Dutch club scene.

Throughout her career, Juliana X has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the industry. She was part of De Sluwe Vos’s 10x10 Tour, which showcased his musical versatility, and she will join Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano’s Amazone Project, an initiative that explores new dimensions of Afro House. Each year, Juliana collaborates with her DJ daddy and icon Joost van Bellen, for instance at his Gaat Door Club Nacht at Melkweg, an event celebrated for its inclusive and eclectic vibe. She has also partnered with Luuk van Dijk for his Get Closer events, which promote connection and intimacy within the Dutch house community, and was invited to take part in a b2b DJ set with Dennis Quin during his QUINvites at Shelter, a clubplatform that unites rising talent and established artists for unique musical experiences.

Further solidifying her presence, Juliana launched Juliana X Invites at Pacific Amsterdam in collaboration with fashion house Filling Pieces, a collaborative event series also with Dennis Quin that continues in 2025. With a fearless approach to sound, an unwavering commitment to inclusivity, and an ever-growing list of notable collaborations, Juliana X stands at the forefront of a new wave in electronic music, poised to shape the future of house culture worldwide.
